Another lovely day at work. The current contestants, [Uncle] Lawrence, Teoh, Kim and Mark are still showing signs of not giving up. Today is the fourth day of the final leg for the Tuff Enuff Challenge. Yesterday was Teoh's birthday [his 21st], poor guy had no one to celebrate it with him since he's from Penang. If all the contestants are still going on strong on Sunday [Final day], then the competition might need to be extended untill there's only one left standing. Which means i might have to work longer! I really want to chill out on a beach somewhere right now.

I got the strangest feeling that something is going to happen soon. What could it be?? Hmmm... I wonder what! Mum thinks I'm getting darker from working at Sg Wang in the hot sun. I think so myself; but who cares. I have to meet with several of my friends; Mark before he's off to London, Harith [the guy is so sweet...], Beng [my best "guy" friend] and of course, Tim. Tim is back from UK; I only found out this morning from my Dad [of all people]. It seems that dear ol' Tim done a stupid thing by shaving off his hair. Poor guy must be looking like a bald rat right now.

Another thing that's been bugging me is my Ex. Not THAT ONE, ok! but the first guy I ever dated. I wonder how he is, whether his looks changed, is he still annoying. Even though we parted in bad terms, I always had a soft spot for him, Mi. His family was always nice to me. I can't believe how I was back then; it was really a "little girl's crush". Anyway, I hope everything works out well for him.

Finally I have time to blog. I'm working for the Hitz FM/Ford Tuff Enuff Challenge which is going on at Sg Wang Main Entrance. Evonne and me are on the morning shift [7am to 3pm]; just imagine how early I have to wake up to get ready for work! Anyway, I can't take any day off so I'm practically tired by the end of each week [another 2 more weeks to go till the finals] I'm hoping for the KL finalist to win; its down to Kim and Nathan now. The car stinks by now; somehow the public is amazed how we can stand the smell, LOL.

But to me. A guy asked me out for a date. I said maybe, then I said that I'm busy. Strange, I won't mind having someone in my life but somehow, I'm being "Chandler", afraid to commit. Talked to Em about this and she said the most truest thing..."Shari, when you're with someone, your face glows with joy, right now, it doesn't but soon it would be, that I pray for everyday" Thanks to my PMS mood, I cried when she said that. I truly miss that girl! Em, you better come back to KL soon k. Anyway, I took lots of photos nowadays...hopefully I have the time to upload them.

One more paper to go. Today's exam was not as bad as I thought it would be. Strangely I was able to answer all 4 questions [in essay format] just in time to hand it in. I'm off from work today but I'm still feeling tired from yesterday :(

Work has been fun [cos the girls are around] but very tiring [8 hours shift]. My shift starts from 7am to 3pm; I have very little time to study or rest. The contestants so far have been nice and friendly; though their request for certain things is getting on my nerves. I'm not sure who will win the car though; hopefully the KL contestant will. Right now, I'm studying for Friday's paper; reading up on Culture. Might meet up with Mark this Saturday after my shift is over; [note to self: bring change of shirt]. Seriously, I stink after 8 hours of working..it is so hot in KL. Note to Friends: Inform me a day earlier before wanting to meet me; so that I can bring a shirt to change from my uniform. Bringing camera tomorrow; will post photos soon.

My week of Firsts of everything…

I took my first ride on the monorail on Tuesday. From KL Sentral, another first for me. Never been to that place before. I got completely lost there…hardly knew my way around. Kept asking for directions from people..felt a little bit like a tourist.

Met up with Mark for lunch and a movie [Star Wars]. While having lunch, we had a nice conversation about what’s new with both our life. I’m on my two-weeks study break, exams will be on the 8th and 10th of June. I’m nowhere close in mastering the subjects I took; wish me tons of luck. Another first would be the trip to Berjaya Times Square with Mark. Finally, I’ve made it there. Then another first was visiting the Borders bookstore. I’m quite impressed with it but the place is quite bare. Caught a couple making out in the corner though..tsk..tsk…..hehehe

The movie was good; though Anakin/Darth Vader wasn’t much of a baddie. Natalie Portman was amazing; she looked hot that even me as a girl could have fallen for her looks. After the movie, we sat at StarBucks in Borders for another meal. We had cakes and tea; I was craving for the cheesecake the day before. Lucky me; the blueberry cake was heavenly. I offered to redo his blog layout; which I will after my exams and after my own site is up and running [Shari will be moving from Blogger to another site]. Mark was going to tell me something during this time but he doesn’t not to. Meanie! I’m still wondering what is it..should get Mel to interrogate Mark on this. He won’t spill anything [damnit]….

Around 4.30, we left. I had a great time that day. Took my mind off the stress of dealing with so many things that’s been going on in my life so far. Seriously miss the girls..no more gossips till next 2 weeks. This weekend, I’ll be heading off to Penang for a wedding. Looking forward to eat..eat…and eat.

That was for last week's events.

I'm now recovering from really bad case of flu, migraine and the monthly womanly pain known to everyone as PERIOD. I''ve never been so sick beofre [this year anyway]; my routine for this week is sleep, have medicine, sleep, and study around 3am for exams. I'm starting work soon; can't wait to earn $$$. The Penang trip was great except a relative of my mum passed away. The reason was the Doc gave her the wrong pills for her chicken pox/diabetes! I could have strangle the Doc for such a silly and deadly act.

Bro is now in Indonesia, not sure which part. Lucky him to get a job that involves travelling. Anyway, I can't wait for him to get back so that he can take back his car from the workshop so that I can start using my car back. I'm sorry for being an idiot to Em and Tim the other day on the phone; I was moody and my childish ways got ahead of me. Luckily they still love me just the same [thanks for understanding]. Well, that's all. Off to studying.

Doing the research proposal right now. Considering how limited [I'm too lazy to find more] the literature on the company I'm focusing on, I don't think my research would be that good. Thank god, my dad isn't one of those parents who pressured their kids into getting ONLY A's for exams. Anyway, I'm surprised to know that the company is quite famous amongst researchers..found a couple of websites that actually featured the company. Sorry if I sound like an ignorant but this is the result of doing last-minute reading on the company.

Strangely enough, its been almost a month since I seen any of my best friends excluding the girls and Beng in college. I miss them all but I think since exams are near, they try not to bother me about going out. The funny thing is I'm comfortable staying at home during the weekends; that I don't feel bored. Friends would be surprised to learn this since I was always the one going out during weekends. But, people change and so have I. No longer am I the one eager to go clubbing or hanging out at those so-called trendy places. Signs of getting old as Shah would put it but who cares...as long as I'm happy and it's not hurting anyone.

Speaking of Shah, I had lunch with him and his family the other day. Yes, his girl was there too. The mum wanted to thank me for baking her a cake for Mother's Day. They took me out for lunch..the whole works. Oh yeah, for Mother's Day..I managed to bake cakes for my mum, Shah's mum, Daniel's mum and Tim's mum. Mum thought it was weird of me to bake cakes for others but the mums are so nice to me. I think mum was just being jealous hehehe...

Star Wars is opening soon...not too keen about those type of movies though. I'll probably skip it.

Finally stop raining.

Bad News: I haven't even started on my proposal. I beginning to hate assignments. I miss my friends. I can't wait to have classes tomorrow!

Good news: My sister is pregnant. Her best friend [my other cousin] is also pregnant. My nephew Aqif is in denial. He thinks no way a baby can fit in his mum's tummy. My brother is thinking of getting engaged end of the year. I got flowers from my cousin who's leaving for Queensland soon *pouts*

Should I...shouldn't I? Right now, I'm having second thoughts about taking care of Daniel's pet [a cat]. He're leaving for Japan tonight; and I'm suppose to take care of his car till next Friday. Can Shari do this while stressing over an assignment which is due next Friday. I agreed to this because Daniel has been a really good friend and I really wanted to pay back all the favors he did for me before. At least, I get my chance to have a pet. Family thinks I'll probably kill the cat by Saturday. Sigh.

Another week to go before my 2 weeks break then I'll be having exams. Then 3 months holiday. Planning to work but that I'll have to see how things go. Evonne the lucky girl got a part-time at the oh-so-famous IBM [that is so familiar to me..hehehe] *winks at Em* Fiona said she had a job for me; but I'm not sure if that's working out since I haven't heard anything else. The poor girl is sick...hope she'll feels better soon. Tim is coming back to KL in August which means I'll be staying up every night that month. I seriously hope that I don't migraines like when Lee was back in town.

Speaking of migraines, I'm having one right now. Off to write up my project proposal. Tata...

Oh yeah, my cousin is pregnant AGAIN...no wonder she always saying she's busy with the hubby...

In college right now.Have to wait till 11am; that's the time when the department allows students to hand in assignment.I think its a stupid rule! I have one hour left to burn; so here Iam blogging on the very slow computer in the library.

Seriously, this computer is getting on my nerves.It uses Netscape,so all the icons and words are all hay-wired. I didn't even sleep last day. Around 1.30am, I realised that my assignment was still not up-to-Shari's standards; so I woke up and redid some of the paragraphys. I'm suppose to apply this 5 Forces analysis to a company [Maxis, in my case]. I was awake till 3am; so might as well stay up the whole night. I went down stairs; made a cup of milo and played games on the PS2.

Dad was nice enough to send me to college today; since bro had to use my car. His car will only be ready in two weeks.I saw the photos of his damaged car; the damage was terrible. His whole front bumper dropped [smashed is more like it]. No one in the family knows about it except me cos I found out about it by looking through his handphone.

Sis managed to irriate me last night while I was busy typing up the assignment. I almost shouted at her but being the youngest in the family, I had to have respest towards her. Pity dad, he's waiting for me to hand in the work. I have no clue who's shirt I'm wearing right now; I think its my brother's girl shirt. Too bad.. it looks good on me anyway.

I apologized to those who sms me but I didn't reply. Blame it on my telco, Celcom. I only received last night's smses around 3.30am. Em thought I've dropped off the face of the earth since this past week..she sms me plenty of times but no reply from me. Had a nice chat with her last night; Lee got her a ring [lucky girl]. I'm so green with envy
