I was blogging when the electricity went off..damn those people!!!

Anyway, I have no time to rewrite what I wrote so to sum things up quickly:

1) Dad is right now RM6612 poorer due to my college fees
2) I finally got my critical incident to write about; assignment due in May, I think.
3) I love the rain; even though I was soaking wet today [even my undies were soaked]....
I'm so happy that it's been raining 3 days straight now; I just can't stand sweating and sleeping while its raining outside, is just the best.

What have Shari been up to this weekend? Well, I've been busy cleaning my house. I mean, serious cleaning...first mop the floor, vacumn, wash clothes and iron them. No, I have not turned into a housewife [even though, I felt like one at Daniel's place]. I even washed my car, something that I enjoy doing during the weekends. Too bad it rained after that. I even helped Daniel clean up his place, that boy has no clue on how to use a washing machine. A really pampered fella but a cute one though.....

Today, went to college extra early to pay my college fees [it cost my dad RM6,612]. Met up with Evonne and Fiona. Fiona had a fit when the registrar over-charged her fees by RM600 so Fiona had to give that lady a piece of her mind. The misunderstanding was finally resolved by the end of the day. Had lunch at Strudels; I had chicken pasta and iced lemon tea; both were yummy. Mr R's class was not so boring; but I was eager to head home cos I knew it would rain today. Just my luck, it did. I was soaking wet by the time I got into my car; even my undies were wet.

Called Daniel on the way home. Told him about the Simple Plan gig at Mont Kiara this 29 March. Fiona offered me free tickets but I have no one to go with so I turned her down. Daniel can't accompany me cos he's flying to Brunei that week. Too bad, if only Aqif was old enough to go since my nephew is a major fan of SP.

Funny conversation I had with a guy on my way to Chan Sow Lin station today:

[Guy keeps staring at me which made me put on my jacket back, he then sits next to me]

Guy: hi. you're a student at HELP Uni. College?
Me: Yes.
Guy: What degree you're taking?
Me: Business Admin.
Guy: wow, that's nice. You have classes on Fridays?
Me: no, only Mondays to Thursdays.
Guy: Lucky you, so are you a mixed?
Me: [does that matter really?] No.
Guy: Local?
Me: Yes, pure Malaysian and a Malay.
Guy: Oic, Malay mixed with what then?
Me: Mixed with nothing. Just pure Malay [I hate getting this perception of me being mixed]
Guy: Oic, this is what I do [he hands me a mag]. It's for college students; interested in working for that mag?
Me: no, I stopped working part-time. thanks for the offer.
Guy: how old are you and how tall? must be 5'3 or something.
Me: I'm 21 and my height is not something I think often.
Guy: well, can I have your number in case; if there's a job like for the mag or an exhibition.
Me: Sorry, I don't give out my number. Thanks but I'm focusing on studies right now.
Guy: well, good luck. Too bad for me though.

That's the third time I've been offered a job that way. Told mum about it; she laughed about it.
Just came home from dinner at L's house; that boy can really fatten me up with his mum's pandan chicken, mutton curry and those yummy dessert. His sister is a complete blur case; I have never met a 25 year old lady who can't even cook an egg. That lady will be a total disappointment to her future husband since her idea of Saturday Night Fun is sleeping early after watching evening news; how sad.....

Well, I'm so happy today. I finally altered my jeans; thanks to my darling Beng. Pretty hectic day I had; rushed to college to register my Year 3 subjects. Yes, yours truly passed all her Year 2 exams which really made my week great. I'm officially a final year student; yahoooo. After registering my subjects, bumped into Anu; only to say hello. Took the LRT to Chan Sow Lin Station. Beng was kind enough to drive me and Fiona to Pertama Complex. Fiona wanted to alter 4 of her pants but doesn't know where to go for such service so I asked her to tag along.

We arrived there around 11.30am. The guy told us that our pants will only be ready after 2pm. So we had to hang around the place for almost 3 hours. Headed back to Sogo for breakfast/lunch. Only now, I noticed that Sogo is quite a big place. We ate at Delifrance; something that I haven't done for a long time. Too bad, there were no cinemas around the place cos Beng and me want to watch that new Malay movie, Sepet. I heard its quite good; my sister thinks that story is really close to my previous situation [Sis, how I hate you for saying that]. So, Beng suggested that we go out for the movie next Wednesday which I'm totally in for. Can't wait for those yummy caramel pop-corns.

The pants was ready only around 3. I bought myself a bag of Famous Amos cookies [no nuts, please] while Fiona happily bought the Stairways to Heaven soundtrack [that girl is a freak when it comes to soap operas]. We drop her off at CSL station while Beng drop me off at college since L and his sister were around the area. I met up with the sister at their car; L told us to drive back to his place first since he had to entertain clients. To my despair, the sister couldn't drive so I had to drive his car [I'm in love with Rexton]. Back at his place, I couldn't resist trying on my newly altered jeans which fit my legs/butt like a glove *cheeky smile*

So, this week is a very productive and happy week for dear old Shari......

Didn't plan to blog today but Evonne asked me to check her Hotmail account so might as well blog while checking the mails. I had a very tiring day at college. My day started.....

...at 5.50 am, alarm clock rang twice. Woke up with my eyes closed, bad move cos I bang into my toilet door. Class was at 8 am so I had to rushed to Subang area before 7. Seriously, after 7am, Subang roads will be jammed with cars; which I hate. Wanted to use the LDP to save on toll money but it was jammed so good old NPE was my best alternative. At toll point, I said thank you to the lady after paying. She was very surprised coz in her own words "you're the first person ever to say thanks to me"...I guess our Malaysian Prime Minister's campaign of spreading good values has affecting me.

Reached college around 7.15am. Took the bus from main black to WP. Waited for the girls in the class..only Fiona turned up for Mr B's class since si "Kucing [Cat]" Evonne overslept. His class was fun, making jokes about how Malaysian act "politely" on roads. Next we had Mr R's class; Evonne came finally. Today's classes were mostly about the final year project [thesis] that we had to do next semester. I'm feeling the pressure and stress of that right now. Mr W then came in to explain about the topics we can research on and other complicated stuff. We had only 30 minutes break today which is really silly to me.

Then, Dr J's class was on....really a bore. I never had a lecturer that's so boring. The class was till 6. By that time, the girls and I wanted to strangle the lecturer. Lucky me, I got to the bus on time to head over to main block. By the time, I left college..it was already 6.10. As usual, Kelana Jaya, Puchong Toll and Subang area was already packed with cars. Reached home around 7pm.

On the way home, Daniel called. He wanted to meet up for dinner but I was too tired to drive to Cyberjaya and mum made mutton curry for me so I couldn't skip dinner at home. I'll probably see him this Sunday since I need the SPSS software from him. Nicki is complaining that I'm too busy with college so I'm now ignoring her. Sorry babe, college comes first [till my degree is in my hands]...I'll see you on Sunday with Daniel k.

On a weird note, Fiona thinks I went on a trip during holidays cos I looke tanned. Shah thinks I looked different in some way while a new friend said "U look mixed but what are u really? not that it's a problem, I just find you exotic".....my reaction to that was "oh..la..la....."

Right now, I'm financially screwed. No more shopping for 4 months or so [hopefully I'll be able to keep this promise]. The parking rate at college isn't helping, just the other day I had to pay RM14 just to park my car at Wisma Perdana. Been thinking of getting the monthly access card but the people at Secure Parking isn't what I call "useful people".

Anyway, my second nephew [Sameir] just got warded this morning. Kak Zu called my brother to inform him about Sameir. I pitied the small fella; the things he has to go through cos of his parents' divorce. He's in the ward right now cos this morning, he started vomitting. This is the second time that he's being warded. I'll probably visit him later.

Kind of stresses over this assignment I'll be doing this semester. It's called CIA or Critical Incident Analysis. I have to write about a certain incident that occurred in my life which changed my perspective towards life, basically I need to write about something that has mold me into the person I am today. I'm not sure what to write....I thought of writing about friendship but it didn't really changed me much. Mr R said we can't write about accidents, break-ups and pets. Seriously, this assignment has got me thinking about my past. Should I write about how people perceived me due to my race or about how I took a friend for granted... I really need advice right now....

I'm so tempted to head over to Lot 10 after reading about a flea market that's going on over there [its till the 22th, so I'll probably drop by there next week]. There goes my promise....

Blogging with ice pack on my feet. Blisters all over from that stupid sport shoes [I had no time to put on socks so it was my fault]. Today is Valentine's Day; and my orientation day for my final year of degree. I slept through 2 alarms that I set last night; I woke around 7.15 am and I had to leave home around 7.30.

Everyone left the house around that time. Mum had to collect her meds from the doc while dad had to make deposits into my bank account [too bad, i can't use the account till legal age of 21]. Met up with Evonne and Beng in college. After awhile, Bee Yen was there and Tina came shortly after that. We as "good" students collecting our class schedules and heading straight to Ali Maju Bistro. I had my usual set of roti canai plus Nescafe. Had a chance to talk to Fiona [who is still in JB]. She said she miss me...LOL Miss you too girl. My mouth has been rather inactive without my gossip queens. Rushed to KLCC around 10.45 am...I was on my way to meet Mark.

For the first time [this year uh], I was early in meeting someone. So I spent my time [while waiting for him] looking for shoes. Saw a pair of lovely ones at Nose [which I later mistaken for Vincci]. We headed to Chilis to drown our pityful single life; it doesn't as bad as I make it out to be. I'm pretty happy at being single..I couldn't care much but having a guy has its benefit [evil smile]. I bought a pinkish/purple spaghetti top from MNG

The lunch was on me. We ate 3 types of dishes [I'm bad at remembering the names] and a glass of margarita each. I had the one that Mark said a Valentine drink cos it was red. We had our usual talk especially the nonsense stuff. We sat there for quite a long time while having people glancing at us from time to time; cos the food spread on our table. There were alot of leftovers so we had it packed to take away [Aqif ate most of it]. Before we ate, Mark took a photo of me on his phone cam for Melman since Mel wanted to know how I look after all this years of MIA [Missing In Action]. I hate taking photos coz I think I don't look good enough. For some reason, Mel thinks me and Mark are an item or soon-to-be an item. For future meet-ups, I plan to meet Mel; it's been a long time since we've met. I can't remember how Lisa looks also.

Went to TopShop since Mark wanted to get a black tie which he did. Looks good; I must say. Mark left his phone at Chilis so he had to head over there again. I was paying for my Vincci shoes that time so I was kind of worried about him. Lucky for him though; he got the phone back. After window-shopping, I conned Mark into giving him a ride. Been a long time since I went to his place so he had to direct me to his house [being a chauffer again here]; I only know how to get to Sentul..after that, I'm lost.

Earlier, being a big mouth..I told Mark something about my [censored]..which it was on his mind till I dropped him off at his place. I can't believe that lady at the lingerie shop said I have a big bustline for my size..what an insult..sigh. After dropping Mark off [he invited me up but I declined]; I headed home. So, Valentine's Day is pretty ok for me. Oh yeah, Happy V's Day to my darling Em, Lee and sweetheart Tim. Nikki, thanks for the bracelet. Kisses to all.

On Saturday, God must be playing a trick on me

I've been trying to meet up with Kavin for days. But things just got in the way. Weddings, Daniel moving in and Kim/Beng busy with CNY. Finally, able to meet up with her on Saturday. I smsed her the details on Thursday and Friday. We were trying to get Kim and Beng to join as well but too bad, they were busy. Miscommunication happened on Friday night between Kavin and me. I told her that Beng couldn't make it and she told me that Kim is outstation. So, me being dumb didn't confirm with her whether Saturday's meet-up is on or not. I assumed it was and so I was waiting for her at One Utama at around 11.30 am; the movie "Shall we dance" was at 12.10.

It was a sneak preview since the movie opens in Malaysia on the 17th Feb. I was so happy when I got the tickets booked. Just my luck that day....Kavin was still asleep around that time. Lucky, she finally switched on her phone and got my sms. Yes, she made it just in time. The movie is quite good; I recommend it to anyone. It wasn't much about love but more about finding something that keeps oneself happy and being happy with oneself is was matters. I truly love the meaning that the movie offers. I must say Richard Gere looks good in the movie..told mum about it. She said it must be my current attraction to older men....I guess she's right but only to older "handsome" and "being-rich-wouldn't-hurt" men....

Always the bridemaid. Maybe I'm destined to be single....

I was asked to be a bridemaid for Uncle's niece; I said yes because the bride is my childhood friend. Ironic thing is when we were little [she was 9 years old, I was 6], we used to play dress-up..pretending that she was the bride. Funny how things worked out for her.

Notice the bored look on my face.

Daniel took that and another pic which I would never publish on this blog [too revealing and I was wearing full make-up]. Anyway, he was my date for the wedding dinner. We ate alot that Uncle actually told me to act ladylike [I just love Chinese food]. I was pretty busy taking photos with relatives [Uncle's relatives actually but he calls me his daughter]. The old aunties kept pinching my cheeks and making a big fuss over my single status. By the end of the night [morning actually], I practically had to walk barefoot because my feet hurt from all the walking frm table A to B to C...

The condition of my hair after colouring it

I had my hair done last week or so. It cost me RM158 which includes a haircut, the colouring, the after-colour treatment and blow. I sat for 4 hours due to this process. I haven't even had my breakfast or lunch by the time I was done. The lady wanted to put highlights but I was too eager to go home and get ready for dinner with Shah's family.

He was pretty shocked when he saw me because he knows how in love I am with my hair and so, the sensible Shari would never do this [too bad, I didn't get highlights]. I guess I needed a change from my usual look. My nephew, Aqif didn't recognize me and even had the nerve of asking me "who am I" and "what happenened to my aunt".

As for the dinner with Shah and company, it went well. I'm happy to say that he found someone else. I had a fab time getting to know her [I warned her about Shah's habit of driving like a loonie]; I'm so glad that he found someone. Hopefully this time, everything goes well for him.
